Privacy Policy

This is the privacy policy for pcperdollar.com ("the Site," "we," "us"). We're an independent comparison tool for prebuilt gaming PCs. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and what control you have over it.

What we collect

We don't ask you to create an account, and we don't have a sign-up form. The data we collect is limited to:

• Standard server logs. Like every website, our hosting provider records each request — your IP address, the page you visited, your browser's user agent, and a timestamp. We use this to keep the site running and to detect abuse.
• Aggregate analytics. We may use a privacy-respecting analytics tool to understand which pages are visited and which features get used. This data is aggregated and doesn't identify you personally.
• Search and filter inputs. When you use the catalog filters or analyze a URL, those inputs are processed on our server to return your result. We don't tie them to a profile.

What we don't collect

• We don't sell or rent your data.
• We don't run third-party advertising trackers.
• We don't track you across other websites.
• We don't store credit card or payment information — purchases happen on the retailer's site, not ours.

Cookies

The Site uses minimal cookies, primarily to remember your filter preferences (e.g. whether you've toggled "hide pickup-only listings"). We don't use advertising cookies. If we add affiliate-tracking links in the future, the retailer's affiliate network may set its own cookie when you click through to their site — that cookie is governed by the retailer's policy, not ours.

Affiliate links

When you click a link to a retailer (the "Open ↗" button on a product card), you are taken to that retailer's website to complete the purchase. In the future, those links may include an affiliate identifier that lets the retailer pay us a small commission on qualifying sales. This costs you nothing extra and doesn't change the price you pay. It does not affect a listing's PC/$ score or its position on the leaderboard.

Data retention

Server logs are kept by our hosting provider for a short rolling window (typically 7–30 days) and then automatically discarded. Aggregate analytics don't include personal identifiers and may be kept indefinitely.

Your choices

• You can use the Site without enabling cookies — most features work without them.
• If you live in the EU/UK or California, you have the right to ask what data we hold about you and to request deletion. Email us using the address below.
• You can block analytics by using browser-level "Do Not Track" or content blockers — we don't fight that.

Children

The Site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top and post the change here. We won't retroactively use data in ways the previous policy didn't permit.
